All Arounders
Friday, October 16 at The Southgate House Revival - The Lounge, Cincinnati
About this event
All Arounders brings an acoustic folk set to The Southgate House Revival - The Lounge in Newport, just across the river from Cincinnati. The group features Greater Cincinnati musicians Char Bowling, Brian “Banjo” Bowling, and Sleepy Andy Tracy, playing together on acoustic instruments and voices with a mix of songs from the past century and originals of their own.
Who's playing
All Arounders is built around Char Bowling, Brian “Banjo” Bowling, and Sleepy Andy Tracy, musicians who have been heard around the Greater Cincinnati area in various bands. For this project, they come together as multi-instrumentalists with a shared focus on acoustic music.
What to expect
Expect a folk-rooted, acoustic performance that draws on songs from across the last 100 years alongside the band’s original material. The Southgate House Revival - The Lounge setting fits the group’s front-porch feel: voices, instruments, and familiar musical ground without a lot of distance between players and room.
Why go
All Arounders offers a chance to hear seasoned Cincinnati-area musicians in a stripped-down format at one of Northern Kentucky’s busiest live-music rooms. It is a good pick for listeners who like folk, acoustic arrangements, and songs that lean on shared memory as much as craft.
