About this event
J. Miles Wolf’s “Red River Gorge: A 50 Year Journey” at Behringer-Crawford Museum chronicles five decades of visits to the Red River Gorge as part of the FotoFocus Biennial. What began as youthful camping trips grew into an annual tradition and a lifelong photographic project, capturing both the Gorge’s changing landscape and Wolf’s evolution as an artist. Presented chronologically, the exhibition traces changes in the landscape, Wolf’s personal life and photographic technology, from 35mm film to drones and HDR imaging. His acclaimed photographs have been featured in major museums and collections, offering a look at the Gorge through five decades of artistic observation. The exhibition runs through Nov. 29, 2026, with free admission for FotoFocus passholders throughout October. An artist reception will be held Oct. 15, offering visitors an opportunity to celebrate Wolf’s work and explore the exhibition.
