About this event
Queen City Opera invites you and your family to "Così fan tutte!" What happens when love becomes an experiment? In Mozart’s razor-sharp comedy "Così fan tutte" ("The School for Lovers"), two young officers believe in their fiancées’ perfect fidelity until a cynical philosopher proposes a wager to prove otherwise. They return in disguise, targeting each other’s fiancées in a controlled experiment in temptation. As the lovers unknowingly pursue one another under false pretenses, what begins as a playful bet spirals into something far more unsettling and revealing.

What to expect
Così fan tutte follows two officers who, convinced of their fiancées’ perfect fidelity, accept a wager and return in disguise to tempt each other’s beloved. Queen City Opera’s description emphasizes the opera’s elegant wit, sparkling score, and darker questions about constancy, trust, and what people learn when love becomes an experiment.
