Mike Dawes

Mike Dawes is the featured performer for this Ludlow Garage Cincinnati show in Cincinnati. Expect a guitar-focused performance built around Dawes’ contemporary fingerstyle approach: intricate arrangements, rhythmic tapping, and full-band-like textures produced from a single acoustic instrument. Ludlow Garage’s own event listing categorizes the show as folk, while Ticketmaster classifies the event under music with rock and pop genre tags, so the appeal sits between acoustic virtuosity and recognizable songcraft rather than a conventional band format. This is a chance to hear a player whose reputation is closely tied to the live possibilities of solo acoustic guitar. Dawes has been named “Best Acoustic Guitarist in the World” in Total Guitar/MusicRadar reader polls, and his widely viewed arrangements helped introduce his one-guitar style to a broad online audience.
