In the Middle of the Endless Water

Julia Orquera Bianco’s solo exhibition brings together more than 10 years of work exploring migration, belonging, family and cultural heritage. Moving between Argentina and the United States, Bianco reflects on what we carry with us and what we discover in new geographies. Through fieldwork, experimentation, plants and Andean-Amazonian cosmology, the exhibition explores relationships to place and mutual care. Water runs throughout as a connecting thread, always the same yet always different, linking us to the past through its cycles. Explore Julia Orquera Bianco’s thought-provoking exhibition and discover a compelling reflection on migration, connection and the enduring ties between people, place and memory. Meet the artist during the artist reception on Thursday, Oct. 15, from 5-7 p.m.
